XL Bully Ban Update, January 2024
As dog guardians and pet business owners we have thought carefully about this issue and think it is best for us to be transparent and factual with our customers on how the government’s XL Bully ban affects our field.
XL bullies will be able to use the field on the conditions our insurance provider have set out below:
1. The dog is registered with the index of exempted dog (IED) (and a copy of the life certificate is obtained and provided to us in the event of a claim)
2. A copy of the public liability insurance certificate for the dog is obtained (and provided to us in the event of a claim)
3. The dog handler ratio is 1:1 with their handler at all times unless with other dogs from the same household
4. The dog is Neutered – in line with Government Rules
5. The dog is Micro Chipped
6. The field is private property with no public access passing through
7. The field is securely fenced so the dog cannot escape
8. The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled until the gate is shut when entering the field
9. The dog is put back on a lead and muzzled before opening the gate to leave the field
10. You can remove the lead and muzzle once inside the secured field
11. If the household has more than 1 dog, they can come to the field together as long as they have a minimum of 1 handler. All dogs leads and muzzles can be removed once in the field including the XL Bully
12. If there are dogs from different households, the banned breed will need to remain muzzled and on a lead at all time with a 1:1 handler

October Updates, 2022
A massive thank you:
We want to share our gratitude and appreciation to those customers that take care and keep the field in superb condition. We also want to thank you for your support and positive feedback on facebook, google and via email and word of mouth. We are proud to say we have had 18 five star ratings on google in our first six months! One of the best parts of the job is hearing from you about how your doggie’s love the field!
Announcements:
Most of you will have noticed we have six gorgeous cows in the field next door
We are approaching our first winter and are optimistic with how well the ground has drained so far, although we imagine there’s more rain to come - fingers crossed it won’t get too muddy!
Site care and reminders:
We unfortunately find it necessary to post a few reminders so the field is enjoyable and safe for everybody.
The field is inspected multiple times a day and recently it has been noticed that items have been broken, such as the agility seesaw, balance beam and the dog toy storage box. Also there has been a considerable increase in dog poo being left in the field. Whilst we understand accidents happen, this really creates a lot of work for us, is costly and most importantly, isn't nice for other customers.
We have had many complaints describing customers waiting outside their cars with their dogs before their session starts. It states on our website, on your booking reminder and on a large sign next to the car park that your arrival and departure is within your time slot, and that you must remain in your car until your slot begins. Sadly this has caused stress to many dogs who love the field but are anxious around other dogs.
So, to remind you:
- CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG 💩
- STICK TO YOUR TIME SLOT ⏲
- DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO PLAY ON ANY EQUIPMENT 🚸
- DO NOT MOVE THE AGILITY EQUIPMENT 🎾
- PACK TOYS AND BALLS AWAY 🥎
- If you break an item or notice something is broken, please get in contact with us 🖊
We don't get pleasure from sounding like killjoys. However, if the damage to equipment and lack of picking up after dogs continues, it will likely result in having to introduce some restrictions on the current system, for example CCTV and not allowing children on site for their own safety.
Thanks and watch this space for future news and updates!
